here we come !
i love it when God answers your prayers with a "yes". bella came home yesterday with great news. they'd had so much interest in the program that the school made a quick decision to add an additional team. the first 15 on the waiting list would get in. she was so happy, and last night we celebrated by buying her some new running shoes.
i can't tell you how excited i am about this program. this situation has my creative juices flowing, tho. we were only able to pay on the lowest tier they offered, ourselves. they request $150 but begin as low as the $20-$49 range, asking that you pay what your family is comfortably able to afford. bella's best friend was unable to apply due to money. and even still, with a maximum capacity of 30 girls, i wonder if there were others unable to apply or get in.
i'm wanting to see how to fix that. how awesome is it, to make a profound difference in young girls' lives. and at an age thats so awkward and uncertain, for them to have a place.
i'm thinking....
also. if you only knew how hot this tiny trailer gets on a humid august day....call me crazy but i've baked my butt off today. making it even hotter in here, if thats possible. and i have amish friendship bread and starters coming out my ears. i'm starting to feel like the guys on the bikes, out there peddling *the good news*. i think the neighbors see me coming before i get there. at any rate, its hard to believe that this heat will soon be something i wish for when winter sets in. God bless my little tin box. anyone for some bread?

You are so inspiring! You might be just the one God wants to use to reach out to those girls!
YAY! BELLA!!!
And I love Amish Friendship Bread. I haven't had it in years. I do know this, your neighbors are lucky to have you for a neighbor. They should be opening their doors and offering you lemonade for your sweaty butt. ;)
