the universe has shifted. the p7 came home yesterday in a delightful mood. she took the dog out without being told. she took out both AR books and read them without throwing herself in a heap on the floor and writhing about in so much agony at the injustice of it all. while i was grilling, mind you. she then announced she thought she'd like to do her Entire Homework Packet. in one night. which she did. all 7 pages.

in other news. see this cute guy? adorable, isn't he. one would never guess that beyond his chocolate gaze and wrinkled t-rex paws, lies a dark plan for the deconstruction of my sanity. week 2 of operation "puppy-pad meet outdoors" is going off like a lead balloon. i can't blame it all on his evil-ness-ish...we humans can be danged confusing. he loves to go outside. but the connection between the peeing and the grass has somehow short-circuited. somewhere between the hard-wood, yesterday ~ my left foot, and the front door.
le sigh. i may not survive.
